Blu-ray Movies are Coming!

The Help on Blu-ray

Blu-ray movies are stunning. The color is vibrant, and the detail is mesmerizing. Blu-ray makes movies look great!

See how good movies can be with Warwick Library's new Blu-ray Movie Collection. We've got new releases, all-time movie favorites, and outstanding classic pictures.

Blu-ray movies play in any Blu-ray player and can be checked out overnight for a fun-filled evening.

Watch for our Blu-ray display arriving soon.

And the Winners Are...

Rear Window Movie Still

Speaking of movies, last month we ran a survey to find out which movies you want to see on our big screen.

The top three movies you picked are:

Rear Window

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Groundhog Day

Now, we need to show them. Starting in September, watch for your chance to see all three of these fantastic films.

Plus, we'll be playing the Buster Keaton silent film The Cameraman and the romantic holiday movie The Shop Around the Corner.

Great movies are on the way!

For Children

Make a Mother's Day Craft
Friday and Saturday, May 11 & 12

A Child Making a Craft

Surprise mom with a good, old-fashioned color, cut, and paste Mother's Day craft.

Drop-in on Friday or Saturday between 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM for a fun art project. Then, on Sunday, show mom how much you love her with a special, handmade gift!

See our complete calendar of May children's events.

Donate Your Music CDs

A Sesame Street Music CD

Have your children stopped listening to their preschool music CDs? Do you have discs with lullabies, sing-a-long songs, or Sesame Street tunes that you'd like to pass along?

The Children's Library is accepting donations of preschool music CDs.

We're looking for gently-used CDs. Smudged discs are okay. We can wash off the mustard and the oatmeal, but sadly, CDs with deep scratches can't be fixed.

Share the fun. Drop off your CDs upstairs whenever the Children's Library is open.

For Teens

Summer Volunteer Opportunity

Two Teen Volunteers Shelving Books

Teens who have finished sixth grade are invited to apply to be a 2012 Children's Summer Reading Program volunteer.

Teen volunteers sign children up for the Summer Reading Program, listen to book reports, hand out prizes, shelve paperbacks, and help with crafts and programs.

Volunteers work two hours or more each week from June 18 through August 20.

Drop by the Children's Library to pick up an application form and get ready for a summer of fun.
